Scott climbs in world rankings; Singh out of top 50

The Australian moved up to No. 36, but the big news was Vijay Singh slipping outside the top 50. Singh fell five places to No. 51.

Singh needs a big finish this week at the Byron Nelson Championship to return to the top 50, and if that doesn't happen, the Fijian will have to qualify for the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach.

Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson remained first and second in the rankings. Lee Westwood and Steve Stricker exchanged places with Westwood up to No. 3.

Jim Furyk held steady at No. 5 as Nos. 5-14 were the same as last week. Furyk was followed by Ian Poulter, Ernie Els, Paul Casey, Rory McIlroy, Anthony Kim, Martin Kaymer, Robert Allenby, Padraig Harrington and Camilo Villegas.

Retief Goosen inched up a spot to 15 dropping Geoff Ogilvy down a notch to 16th. Hunter Mahan and Luke Donald held steady in 17th and 18th.

Reigning PGA champion Y.E. Yang and current U.S. Open champ Lucas Glover both moved up two places to 19th and 20th respectively. Their moves knocked Henrik Stenson and Tim Clark down to 21st and 22nd.
